Anzac Day is a National day of remembrance and commemoration. Commemorative services are held each year at dawn, the time of the original Gallipoli landing. The Coogee Anzac Day Dawn Service is produced in collaboration with the Coogee Randwick Clovelly RSL sub-branch and will be held on 25 April.
ANZAC Day at Coogee Diggers
Lest We Forget
Join us this April 25th as we come together to honour the service and sacrifice of our veterans. It’s a full day of reflection, community, and mateship right here in the heart of Coogee.
Dawn Service Join us down at Coogee Beach as the sun rises for a moving tribute to the fallen. Head back to the club to warm up and share stories.
From 12:00 PM The action kicks off with Two-up in the ring and DJ throughout the afternoon.
Two-up: Australia's favorite game of chance. Come and have a flutter (responsibly!) from midday.
Live Music DJ: Local DJ playing all your favorite tunes to keep the atmosphere going.
Cold Beer & Bistro Classics: Our kitchen will be open and the taps will be flowing.
The ANZAC spirit is one of determination, resilience, and bravery in the face of adversity. It takes guts to put oneself in harm's way for the greater good, and the ANZACs embodied this spirit in their service to their country. On ANZAC Day, we come together as an inclusive nation to remember their bravery, to honour their sacrifices, and to celebrate the enduring legacy of the ANZAC spirit. It is a day to remember the importance of standing up for what we believe in and having the courage to fight for it, no matter the odds.
