Be part of a like minded group working to support veterans of all ages and their families. Membership offers support through camaraderie, social activities and recreation, and helps run our commemorative services. The Sub-Branch also connects members to a wider network of veteran support services.

— Our history

Ninety years in
the making.

The Coogee Randwick Clovelly Sub-Branch was formed in 2014, when two older Sub-Branches came together. Its roots run back to 1928.

1928
The original Sub-Branch forms

The Coogee Randwick RSL Sub-Branch was formed on 2 August 1928. It moved several times over the decades before settling at the Coogee Diggers Club.

Clovelly joins the story

The Clovelly Sub-Branch was founded, serving its own community of veterans for more than seventy years.

2014
Two Sub-Branches become one

With Clovelly needing to relocate, members of both Sub-Branches agreed to merge. With approval from the RSL State Council, the combined Coogee Randwick Clovelly Sub-Branch began operations on 1 January 2014.

2015
The first Dawn Service at Coogee Beach

We held our first Anzac Day Dawn Service at Coogee Beach, marking the centenary of Anzac Day. It has been held there every year since.

its own right.

Registered charity

We are a registered charity with the ACNC. We operate separately from the Coogee Diggers Club, which has been governed by the Registered Clubs Act since 1976. The Sub-Branch runs from a small office we rent for our charitable work.

Working with the Club

Our relationship with Club management rests on a long and continuous foundation of support for veterans. The Club provides facilities for meetings, social activities and commemorative events, plus legacy membership rates at Coogee Gym for veterans.
