A Hybrid Training Club.
Countdown to Melbourne.
AHTC is a hybrid and HYROX coaching group run by Ethan out of Coogee Diggers. The programming is now pointed at one date, HYROX Melbourne, 9 to 13 December 2026. Structured sessions, a group that turns up every week, and a plan that has you peaking in race week rather than burning out before it.

Every Saturday session between now and then is part of the build. Strength first, then engine, then race specific skill and pacing. Join at any point and Ethan will place you where you are.
One block, one finish line
The build works backwards from Melbourne. Early weeks put strength and base engine down. The middle phase layers in race specific work, sled push and pull, ski, wall ball, burpee broad jump and the compromised running that decides most races. The last phase is pacing, transitions and race simulation.
You do not need to be racing to take part. The same programming works if you just want a hard, well structured session with people who push you.
What you pay, and who you pay it to
AHTC runs its sessions at Coogee Diggers as part of the Diggers Partnership Program. The coaching is Ethan's to deliver and to charge for. Facility access is ours. Keeping the two separate keeps it simple.
- The AHTC session fee is $20 per session, per person. Paid direct to AHTC when you book. It is not charged to your Diggers account or direct debit, and it does not change your membership rate, term or access.
- Bookings are made with AHTC. Not through Diggers reception and not through the Diggers app.
- Entry to Diggers for the session is free. You do not need a Diggers membership or a day pass to train with AHTC in The Bunker.
- Want more than the session? A day pass is $25. If you want a full workout or to use the rest of the gym outside The Bunker, that is a $25 day pass at reception, covering weights, cardio, the heated 25m pool, sauna and steam room.
- Diggers members pay nothing extra to us. Your membership already covers the whole building before and after the session.

Get 7 days for $49Race specific kit, already in the building
Coogee Diggers is an official HYROX training club. The functional zone carries race specific equipment, so the block can be programmed properly rather than improvised around whatever is spare. Sleds, ski ergs, wall ball, farmers carry and a full free weights floor.
Then there is the part most gyms cannot offer. The only heated 25 metre indoor pool in Coogee, plus sauna and steam room, all a few steps from where you just trained. Recovery on the same site, same visit.
Bookings and changes go to Ethan
AHTC handles all bookings, changes, cancellations and programming for their sessions. Diggers reception cannot manage an AHTC booking for you.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
The AHTC session fee is $20 per session, per person, paid direct to Ethan. That covers the coaching and the programming.
Entry to Diggers for the session is free. If you want a full workout or the rest of the gym outside The Bunker, that is a $25 day pass, or it is already included if you are a member.
Do I have to be a Diggers member?
No. Entry for the AHTC session is free whether you are a member or not. You only pay Diggers if you want to use the wider facilities, either with a $25 day pass or a membership.
Is the session fee part of my Diggers membership?
No. AHTC is an independent partner. Their fee is separate, is paid to them, and is never charged to your Diggers account or direct debit. Your membership rate, term and access do not change.
Can I join now, this close to Melbourne?
Yes. The programming runs in sequence but it is not a closed course. Speak to Ethan and he will place you at the right point in the build for where your fitness is now.
Do I need to be racing HYROX Melbourne?
Not at all. Plenty of people train the block for general fitness. The race just gives it a finish line.
Am I fit enough?
Sessions are scaled. Ethan adjusts loads and movements to suit the person, so beginners and experienced athletes train in the same room.
Who do I contact about a booking?
Ethan at AHTC. Email info@ahybridtrainingclub.com, message @ahybridtrainingclub or call 0435 164 182.

That one is ours. Email gym@coogeediggers.com.au or ask at reception.
Where do I park?
We are on the corner of Byron and Carr in Coogee. Street parking is around, and it is quieter at 7am on a Saturday than most times of the week.
